Military Spouse Leadership Development Program Seeks to Empower Community Change Agents

The Leadership Institute for Military Spouses (LIMS) is launching its second 2025 cohort of the Military Spouse Leadership Development Program (MSLDP), designed to equip military spouses with advanced leadership capabilities and community service skills.

The intermediate-level program will provide participants comprehensive training in critical areas including meta-leadership, crisis management, conflict resolution, communication, and mental health. Successful participants will earn a leadership certificate from Harvard University’s National Preparedness Leadership Initiative and a Mental Health Ally certificate from Psych Hub.

Eligible participants include spouses of currently serving United States military members from any branch, Reserves, Guard, post-9/11 Gold Star Spouses, Surviving Spouses, Caregivers, and Spouses of Veterans or Retirees. The program will accommodate 50 participants in a free, global, and virtual format.

Upon completion, graduates will be inducted into the Military Spouse Alumni Network, enabling continued learning and networking opportunities with peers. The program aims to transform military spouses into influential community leaders and change-makers.

MSAN Founder and CEO Verenice Castillo emphasized the program’s significance, stating that military spouses are crucial catalysts for positive community transformation. The initiative seeks to cultivate the next generation of leaders by providing transformative training that enhances their potential to create meaningful impact.

Supported by the Car Donation Foundation’s Vehicles for Veterans, the program represents a collaborative effort to recognize and develop the leadership potential within military spouse communities.
