Christian-based missionary trips have played a significant role in Dr. Edward Picardi‘s life since becoming a general surgeon. The upcoming missionary trip is through World Medical Mission Samaritan’s Purse.
Dr. Edward Picardi has worked with them in the past, as they help those in need while also spreading the Christian faith to different parts of the world. On each trip, they bring medical professionals from all over the United States to help. General surgeons (like Picardi) can take on various roles depending on what’s needed most. Each day provides unique work for Dr. Picardi as he helps in whatever way he can.
With previous trips to Liberia and Togo under his belt, Picardi knows the type of impact he and his team can make in a small window of time.
Dr. Edward Picardi’s wife, Sandy, is currently with Dr. Picardi on a medical mission. She’s joined on previous missionary trips, taking the time to do her part in spreading Christian values in the areas they serve while also providing what medical help they can.
They continue to put their trust in God while staying committed to their church. Dr. Picardi believes his gift of medicine can change lives and help many long-term.
Dr. Picardi’s return to Africa will temporarily put his role as a general surgeon at Trinity Health in Steubenville, Ohio, on pause.
