SaverOne, a company specializing in safety systems to prevent distracted driving, has secured a significant partnership with IVECO, a brand of Iveco Group N.V., a prominent manufacturer of light, medium, and heavy commercial vehicles. The two companies have inked an original equipment manufacturing (OEM) agreement that will see SaverOne’s distracted driving prevention technology integrated into IVECO’s 2024 truck production line.
Initially, for the 2024 model year, SaverOne’s software will be integrated into IVECO’s hardware. However, the collaboration may extend in the future to include the integration of SaverOne’s mobile app with IVECO’s app, as well as the incorporation of SaverOne’s hardware and software directly into IVECO’s assembly line. The first IVECO vehicles equipped with SaverOne’s integrated software solution are expected to be delivered later this year.

SaverOne’s technology is designed to automatically detect mobile devices in the driver’s area and prevent the driver from using messaging and other distracting apps while driving. If the phone disconnects, an alarm will sound, alerting the driver to the potential danger. The company’s technology is already installed in over 4,500 cars, trucks, and buses and is integrated into the fleets of more than 100 companies worldwide.
