Intra Energy Uncovers Promising Lithium Targets in Western Australia

Intra Energy Corporation Ltd (ASX:IEC) has made an exciting discovery of two large-scale lithium targets within the Lake Johnston Greenstone Belt at its Maggie Hays Hill Project in Western Australia. The targets, spanning 2,500 metres by 300 metres and 1,300 metres by 300 metres, have exhibited high lithium oxide values, peaking at 248ppm.

According to Intra Energy’s managing director, Ben Dunn, these targets also show strong indications of caesium and tantalum, which are essential for pegmatite exploration in spodumene-rich zones. The company is now gearing up to commence an RC drilling program in the June quarter, pending necessary heritage and regulatory consents.

Intra Energy is currently finalizing a heritage survey with the Ngadju Native Title Aboriginal Corporation to establish drilling sites. The company’s recent findings have fueled anticipation for the upcoming drilling program, which could potentially unlock the region’s lithium potential.

The identification of these lithium anomalies is a significant development for Intra Energy, as the global demand for lithium continues to surge due to its crucial role in the production of lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles and energy storage systems. With the promising results from the Maggie Hays Hill Project, the company is well-positioned to capitalize on the growing lithium market.
