Artemis Resources Gears Up for Expanded Exploration at Karratha Gold Precinct

Artemis Resources Ltd, a dual-listed Australian mining company, is poised to ramp up exploration activities at its Karratha Gold Precinct in Western Australia, buoyed by the current buoyant gold prices.

According to George Ventouras, the company’s executive director, the Carlow Project within the precinct boasts a significant resource of over 700,000 ounces of gold equivalent, with promising grades averaging around 2.5 grams per tonne. Recognizing the potential of this substantial asset, Artemis Resources has allocated a portion of its exploration budget to further investigate the Carlow project and the broader tenement package.

One area of particular interest is Lulu Creek, where initial drilling results in 2020 yielded encouraging gold grades of 4.89 grams per tonne. Drawing comparisons to De Grey’s 10 million-ounce Hemi deposit, Artemis Resources is excited about the prospects at Lulu Creek and has secured a government grant for co-funded drilling. Preparatory activities, including rock chip and soil sampling, are currently underway, with drilling expected to commence in the third quarter of 2024, pending heritage clearances.

Ventouras highlighted the company’s dual focus on base metals and future-facing metals, with ongoing exploration efforts targeting lithium prospects as well. He emphasized the potential of Artemis Resources’ intrusive gold systems as a frontier for large gold systems, indicating a promising future for the company.

With the buoyant gold price providing a favorable backdrop, Artemis Resources is well-positioned to capitalize on the opportunities presented by its Karratha Gold Precinct and other mineral prospects in its portfolio.
