Comcast RISE Grants to Empower 100 Small Businesses in Southern Colorado

Comcast is stepping up its efforts to support small businesses in Southern Colorado through its Comcast RISE program. The company announced that it will award 100 businesses in Colorado Springs and El Paso County with comprehensive grant packages that include a range of valuable resources.

The grant packages will provide each recipient with a $5,000 monetary grant, business coaching sessions, access to online entrepreneurship courses and learning modules, the production of a 30-second TV commercial, a media strategy consultation, and a 12-month technology makeover with computer equipment, Internet, Voice, and Cybersecurity services.

‘Comcast is committed to supporting and empowering small businesses in our communities,’ said J.D. Keller, senior vice president of Comcast’s Mountain West Region. ‘The Comcast RISE program will deliver innovative and impactful resources that will make a lasting impact on small businesses in Colorado Springs.’

Eligible businesses in Colorado Springs and El Paso County can apply for a grant package at www.ComcastRISE.com from May 1 through May 31. A total of 100 grants will be awarded in Southern Colorado, and 500 grants overall, with recipients announced in August 2024.

Colorado Springs Mayor Yemi Mobolade emphasized the importance of supporting local entrepreneurs, stating, ‘Small businesses are essential pillars of Colorado Springs’ community, contributing significantly to the strength and vibrancy of our economy through job creation, by increasing our tax base, and providing our community’s unique charm and character.’

Comcast RISE was initially created in November 2020 to help small businesses impacted by COVID-19, but has since evolved to focus on fostering economic growth and community investment. The program is part of Comcast’s $1 billion Project UP commitment to advance digital equity and economic mobility.
