Puerto Rico’s Baseball Celebration Continues its Nationwide Tour

Baseball fans across the United States are in for a treat as the Puerto Rico Convention District Authority (PRCDA) has officially signed on as the presenting sponsor of the ‘Puerto Rico’s Day at the Ballpark’ series, set to continue in 2024. This exciting program pays tribute to Puerto Rico’s 125-year baseball history and the numerous notable players who have hailed from the island.

The series will kick off on April 25th at Yankee Stadium, where the PRCDA will honor Yankee starting pitcher Marcus Stroman, who is of Puerto Rican descent from his mother’s side. Stroman, a top-level starting pitcher, has played for several MLB teams, including the Blue Jays, Mets, Cubs, and now the Yankees.

In addition to the Yankee Stadium event, the ‘Puerto Rico’s Day at the Ballpark’ series will also activate events in Tampa on August 16th and Minnesota on September 15th. These events aim to celebrate the rich baseball heritage of Puerto Rico and recognize the contributions of its players to the sport.
