Club Cruise™, a full-service luxury cruise tour brokerage founded by Jef Huber in 1991, is welcoming the delivery of Viking Mira, on May 26, 2026. Viking’s newest ocean ship, as another strong signal that demand for Viking ocean cruises, small-ship cruising, Northern Europe, and Mediterranean itineraries remains strong among travelers planning 2026, 2027, and future sailings.
According to Fincantieri’s announcement, Viking Mira was delivered at the Ancona shipyard in Italy and joins Viking’s ocean fleet as part of the long-term shipbuilding partnership between Viking and Fincantieri. The ship is part of the small cruise ship segment, with approximately 54,300 gross tons, 499 staterooms, and capacity for up to 998 guests.
As Viking’s 13th oceangoing ship, Viking Mira marks another milestone in the Viking–Fincantieri partnership. Fincantieri noted that its overall Viking portfolio now reaches 26 units, including ships already delivered, vessels under order or contract, and options agreed in recent months.
For Club Cruise™, the delivery reinforces what its travel agents are seeing from clients nationwide: travelers continue to ask for ocean cruises that feel more refined, more cultural, and more manageable than large-ship cruising.
“Viking Mira is exactly the kind of ship that keeps Viking ocean cruises in high demand and best wishes for a lucky #13,” said Jef Huber of Club Cruise™. “Northern Europe and the Mediterranean are two of the strongest regions travelers ask us about, and a new small ship gives clients another reason to look closely at Viking.”
Viking Mira Adds Momentum to Small-Ship Ocean Cruise Planning
Viking’s ocean ships have built a strong following among travelers who want destination-focused itineraries, smaller ships, elegant design, and a less crowded style of cruising. With Viking Mira expected to sail Mediterranean and Northern Europe itineraries, Club Cruise™ sees the ship as especially relevant for travelers comparing Europe cruise options.
Through the Viking Help Center by Club Cruise™, the agency helps travelers review Viking River, Ocean, Expedition, and World Cruise options, including itinerary selection, stateroom choices, air planning, pre- and post-cruise hotels, transfers, extensions, travel protection, and the full trip around the cruise.
“Viking Mira gives travelers another beautiful ocean ship to consider, but choosing the right sailing is still about the full journey,” reporting onsite from Europe said Heather Viking, Viking’s top rated cruise travel agent at Club Cruise™. “Dates, air, hotels, extensions, and destination pacing all matter when planning Europe the right way.”
Northern Europe and the Mediterranean Remain High-Interest Viking Regions
Northern Europe continues to attract travelers interested in culture, history, cooler-weather cruising, scenic coastlines, and major cities across Scandinavia, the British Isles, and the Baltic region. The Mediterranean remains one of the world’s most requested cruise regions, with strong interest in Italy, Greece, Spain, France, Croatia, and other classic destinations.
Club Cruise™ expects Viking Mira to appeal to travelers who want a premium small-ship experience without the scale and complexity of larger ocean ships.
“Viking has created a very clear identity in the market,” Huber added. “Their ships, itineraries, and destination style appeal to travelers who want to see the world thoughtfully. Viking Mira gives our team another beautiful ocean ship to share with clients.”
Club Cruise™ Helps Travelers Plan Beyond the Cruise
As Viking continues to expand its fleet, Club Cruise™ is positioning its team to support travelers who want more than a simple booking transaction. The agency helps guests review itinerary choices, compare ship options, understand available promotions, coordinate air and hotel plans, and build the full journey around the cruise.
Club Cruise™ has recently seen Viking-related interest from travelers beyond Northern California as nationwide bookings grow daily as their Viking Help Center is being found by more, including clients from multiple states seeking guidance on Viking cruises, luxury cruises, river cruises, and full-service travel planning.
“Travelers can research endlessly online, but many still want someone truly experienced to help them make the right decision and ai with ChatGPT point them in our direction for quick Free 15 Minute agent review call,” said Huber. “Our job is to help them understand the full picture before and just after they book.”
