NeuroOne to Present New Ablation System and Drug Delivery Platform at ASSFN Meeting

NeuroOne Medical Technologies Corporation (Nasdaq: NMTC) announced its participation in the 2026 American Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery (ASSFN) Biennial Meeting, taking place May 30-June 2 in Cleveland, Ohio. The company will present its recently 510(k)-cleared OneRF Trigeminal Nerve Ablation System, designed for radiofrequency lesioning to treat chronic facial pain and for functional neurosurgical procedures.

The OneRF Trigeminal Nerve Ablation System features a multi-contact RF probe that enables precise mapping and ablation in fewer cycles without repositioning, potentially reducing procedural time and improving patient comfort. NeuroOne recently completed the limited market release of this system, which received FDA clearance under K251243. The system is indicated for creating radiofrequency lesions for pain treatment or lesioning nerve tissue in functional neurosurgery.

In addition, NeuroOne will share details on its investigational SEEG-Drug Delivery System, currently under development for use in human studies and laboratory animal research. The system aims to deliver drugs, record, and stimulate, supporting multiple trajectories and enabling repeated dosing through a single implant. This device is not yet approved or cleared by the FDA.

The company will present a scientific presentation titled ‘Integrating Drug Delivery Capabilities into a SEEG-Based Recording, Stimulation, and Ablation Platform Technology’ on May 31, 2026, during the Parallel Session 3: Device Development: Bench to Bedside. Two posters will also be presented: ‘SEEG-Guided Radiofrequency Ablation with Real-Time Temperature Control: From Early Clinical Experience to the Development of a Post-Market Registry’ and ‘New FDA-cleared Multi-Contact RF Probe for Trigeminal Neuralgia: Cadaveric Feasibility and Usability Evaluation.’

NeuroOne also anticipates multiple neurosurgeon presentations on clinical experiences with both the OneRF Radiofrequency Ablation System for the brain and the OneRF Trigeminal Nerve Ablation System. The OneRF Radiofrequency Ablation System (FDA clearance K231675) is indicated for creating radiofrequency lesions in nervous tissue for functional neurosurgery.

This news matters because it highlights advancements in minimally invasive neurosurgical tools that could improve outcomes for patients with neurological disorders. The new trigeminal nerve ablation system offers a potentially faster and more comfortable procedure for chronic facial pain, while the drug delivery platform could expand treatment options for conditions requiring targeted therapy. NeuroOne’s participation at ASSFN underscores its commitment to innovation in surgical diagnosis and treatment.
