The PNE Group has been selected as one of the winning developers in France’s latest onshore wind tender, securing the rights to build the ‘Oinville-Saint-Liphard’ wind farm in the Centre-Val de Loire region. The project, consisting of four wind turbines with a total capacity of 22 megawatts, was among 39 awarded projects out of 144 bids competing in the eleventh tender under the PPE2 programme, according to a press release from the company.

The wind farm received its permit in just 15 months, clearing the way for submission in the tender shortly after the French government published its multiannual energy plan PPE3 and announced the relaunch of auctions. ‘The timing was exactly right,’ the company noted, as the approval came just in time for the bid deadline.
