SFC Energy Secures CAD 3.1M Follow-up Order for Fuel Cells Powering AI Surveillance Towers

SFC Energy AG (F3C:DE), a German fuel cell technology company, announced on July 14, 2026, a follow-up order worth approximately CAD 3.1 million from a leading North American provider of mobile security and remote video surveillance solutions. The order, which includes EFOY Pro 2800 methanol fuel cells and accessories, follows an initial deployment announced on December 18, 2025, and underscores the increasing adoption of clean energy for off-grid surveillance infrastructure.

The customer integrates SFC’s fuel cells into its latest generation of AI-enabled mobile surveillance towers, which are deployed across Canada and the United States. These towers, equipped with high-resolution cameras and real-time alert capabilities, provide 24/7 monitoring for critical infrastructure, construction sites, mining operations, energy facilities, pipelines, industrial plants, commercial properties, and automotive dealerships. The rapid deployment and self-sufficient off-grid operation make them ideal for temporary and remote project environments.

EFOY Pro fuel cells deliver reliable, low-emission power, ensuring guaranteed uptime for mission-critical surveillance while offering a sustainable alternative to diesel generators. The technology reduces emissions, noise, and maintenance requirements, and provides an attractive total cost of ownership. Revenue and earnings from this order are expected to be recognized in the 2026 financial year.

Dr. Peter Podesser, CEO of SFC Energy AG, said: “Receiving this significant follow-up order shortly after the initial deployment confirms the strong operational performance of our EFOY solutions and the increasing demand for remote AI-enabled surveillance applications. The increasing deployment volumes demonstrate both the scalability of our technology and the growing demand for reliable, low-emission off-grid power solutions across North America.”

The follow-up order reflects the scaling potential within SFC’s existing customer base and the broader trend toward clean, reliable off-grid power for security infrastructure. As AI-enabled surveillance becomes more prevalent, the need for uninterrupted power in remote locations is critical. SFC’s fuel cells address this need while supporting environmental goals by reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
