Datavault AI to Tokenize $1B Edge AI Infrastructure Program

Datavault AI (NASDAQ: DVLT) announced it will tokenize and monetize Available Infrastructure’s Project Qestrel, a nationwide network of cybersecure edge data centers deploying across the United States, using its Information Data Exchange platform and patented tokenization technology. The companies expect the Project Qestrel token ($QEST) program to represent more than $1 billion in tokenized value upon full deployment, providing access and usage rights across the edge AI infrastructure network while supporting secondary market trading. Initial token offerings are targeted for the third quarter of 2026.

Project Qestrel is expected to deploy 1,000 cybersecure edge data centers across 100 U.S. cities and more than 30 states as part of an approximately $5 billion buildout. Datavault AI said the initiative expands its existing relationship with Available Infrastructure and will generate revenue through an equal-sharing arrangement, with Datavault AI providing tokenization, clearing, valuation and exchange services. The companies believe the program represents the industry’s first large-scale tokenization of a live-deploying nationwide edge AI infrastructure network, creating a new digital asset class tied to AI compute capacity.

The move comes at a time when demand for edge computing and AI infrastructure is surging, driven by the proliferation of AI applications that require low-latency processing. By tokenizing access to edge data centers, Datavault AI aims to democratize investment in AI infrastructure, allowing a broader range of investors to participate in the growth of the AI economy. The tokenization model could also provide liquidity for infrastructure assets that are traditionally illiquid, potentially attracting institutional capital.

Datavault AI’s technology platform enables the secure attachment of physical assets to digital tokens, ensuring transparency and provenance. The company’s Information Data Exchange platform facilitates the valuation and monetization of real-world assets in the Web 3.0 environment. This project marks a significant milestone in the convergence of AI infrastructure and blockchain-based tokenization, potentially setting a precedent for future infrastructure projects.

The announcement is expected to have implications for the broader edge computing and tokenization industries, as it demonstrates a practical application of blockchain technology for large-scale infrastructure financing. If successful, Project Qestrel could pave the way for similar tokenization initiatives in other sectors, such as energy, telecommunications, and transportation.
