Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has announced a strategic partnership with TÜV Rheinland, a global leader in testing and certification, to enhance vehicle testing capabilities in Vietnam. The memorandum of understanding, signed on July 17, 2026, aims to develop the VinFast Testing Center in line with international standards and provide testing and technical advisory services to automotive manufacturers across the region.
The partnership is a key step in VinFast’s long-term strategy to strengthen research, testing, and product development capabilities. Under the agreement, TÜV Rheinland will prioritize the VinFast Testing Center as its preferred provider of testing and technical advisory services for relevant projects in Vietnam and the ASEAN region. The two companies will also jointly promote the center’s capabilities to international automotive manufacturers, develop new business opportunities, and organize specialized training programs and industry seminars.
Previously, VinFast and TÜV Rheinland collaborated on testing and technical assessments for electric vehicle systems, components, and complete vehicles, ensuring products met technical requirements for both domestic and international markets. This new MOU elevates their relationship beyond individual projects, establishing a long-term partnership to help Vietnamese businesses integrate more deeply into the global automotive value chain.
