ExploreTech will apply its proprietary engine, which uses probabilistic modeling to identify high-priority exploration targets. The technology will refine the geometry and depth of four key target areas—Goldfinch, Blue Jay, Blackbird and Starling—while optimizing drill collar placement and delivering a phased drilling sequence for Canamera’s planned 1,500-meter, nine-hole helicopter-supported diamond drilling program. This approach is designed to reduce uncertainty and increase the probability of discovery, a critical factor given the high costs associated with remote exploration.
The move comes as demand for rare earth elements (REE) and niobium surges, driven by their use in permanent magnets, electric vehicles, wind turbines, and advanced electronics. Niobium is also a key component in high-strength steel alloys. However, the supply chain for these critical minerals remains heavily concentrated in China, prompting Western nations to seek domestic sources. Canada, with its favorable geology and supportive regulatory environment, is emerging as a key player in this effort.
Canamera’s Schryburt Lake project is located in an underexplored region of Ontario with strong geological signatures. The company also holds a diversified portfolio of interests in energy metals and REE projects across the Americas, including the Rare Earth Ridge REE-Nb project and options on the Waterslide and Garrow projects in Ontario, the Great Divide Basin uranium project in Wyoming, and projects in Brazil and British Columbia. By applying geochemical, geophysical, and geological datasets, Canamera aims to generate high-conviction, first-mover exploration targets.
