American Fusion Inc. (OTC: AMFN) has appointed Alec Rossa as chief revenue officer, tasking the longtime executive with leading the company’s global commercial strategy as it advances development of its proprietary Texatron Fusion Engine. The appointment signals a strategic shift toward revenue generation and market entry for the fusion energy developer.
Rossa will oversee customer development, strategic partnerships, government and institutional relationships and commercialization of the company’s planned Power-as-a-Service (“PaaS”) business model. He previously spent nearly two decades as president and CEO of MD Charlton Ltd., where he expanded the business into Canada’s largest national distributor of police and tactical equipment while building relationships across government, defense and public safety organizations.
“Alec’s experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and managing institutional procurement programs aligns with our long-term strategy of owning and operating fusion systems while supplying electricity under long-term service agreements,” the company said in a press release. The PaaS model is central to American Fusion’s plan to generate recurring revenue by selling electricity rather than selling the fusion reactors themselves.
The Texatron Fusion Engine is described as a neutronic fusion platform designed for modular, infrastructure-grade deployment across industrial, commercial, and grid-constrained applications. American Fusion said it will continue engaging with government agencies, defense organizations, utilities, industrial customers and strategic partners as the Texatron platform advances through engineering, testing and validation toward future commercialization.
Rossa’s appointment comes as the fusion energy sector attracts increasing attention from investors and policymakers seeking carbon-free baseload power. Unlike traditional nuclear fission, fusion promises abundant energy with minimal radioactive waste. However, commercial fusion has remained elusive for decades, with most companies still years away from producing net energy. American Fusion’s focus on a modular, PaaS approach could differentiate it from competitors pursuing larger, more capital-intensive designs.
The company’s development strategy emphasizes system-level engineering, disciplined intellectual property protection, and scalable architectures intended to support long-term commercial operation, while maintaining a focus on capital discipline and transparent corporate governance.
