LataMed AI Corp. (OTC: LMED) announced Wednesday that its Venezuelan subsidiary has entered into a memorandum of understanding with FARMASER to develop a customized artificial intelligence and automation platform designed to support the pharmacy chain’s current operations and planned expansion. The collaboration aims to enhance pharmacy workflows, e-commerce, prescription management, customer service, inventory planning, and business analytics.
Under the agreement, the parties will work together to define technical and operational requirements, adapt software to FARMASER’s pharmacy workflows, and establish a phased development and testing process. A key component of the proposed platform is the potential integration of LataMed AI’s CardioAI, PulmoAI, and NeuroAI—AI-supported tools intended to assist healthcare professionals in evaluating cardiovascular, pulmonary, and neurological health information. These tools would be deployed across FARMASER’s three existing pharmacy locations and up to 15 planned additional locations, subject to continued development, testing, regulatory approvals, and clinical protocols.
Dr. Kevin Rodan Levy, CEO of LataMed AI, emphasized the strategic importance of pharmacies in the healthcare ecosystem. “Pharmacies play a central role in connecting patients with medications, healthcare products, and related services. Our objective is to work with FARMASER to develop a platform that supports its current operations and planned expansion while evaluating the integration of our AI-supported healthcare technologies across its pharmacy network.”
The proposed platform represents an enterprise application of LataMed AI’s technology beyond its patient-facing telemedicine services. By supporting pharmacy operations, digital commerce, prescription workflows, and data analysis, the company aims to create technology infrastructure that could be adapted for other healthcare organizations throughout Latin America. The parties are also evaluating an annual software licensing or subscription model for commercial implementation, though pricing and terms remain subject to successful development and testing.
LataMed AI’s broader strategy involves building an integrated healthcare ecosystem connecting patients, healthcare professionals, pharmacies, insurers, and payment providers. The collaboration with FARMASER aligns with this vision, potentially positioning the company to address operational challenges faced by pharmacy chains in the region.
However, the memorandum of understanding does not guarantee successful completion or commercial deployment. The company cautioned that the scope, timing, and terms of any definitive agreement remain uncertain, and there is no assurance that the proposed platform will generate revenue or that FARMASER will open additional locations.
