Royalty Management Holding Corporation (Nasdaq: RMCO) announced that its portfolio holding, ReElement Technologies, has secured a series of financings to aggressively expand its operations, directly benefiting Royalty Management through an intellectual property development program. ReElement Technologies, a critical mineral refining company based in Noblesville and Marion, Indiana, uses an innovative chromatographic separation platform to produce magnet-grade rare earth elements and other critical minerals for the electrification, defense, and technology sectors.
The financings include a $25 million investment from the United States Department of War, announced recently, to accelerate ReElement’s expansion and production of critical minerals vital for U.S. defense and commercial industries. This investment adds to a previously closed investment from Transition Equity Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm. The capital will be used by ReElement to expand its operations and increase the use of technologies covered under a royalty agreement with Royalty Management.
Royalty Management has an intellectual property development program with ReElement, whereby Royalty provides capital for developing unique patents and technologies around refining in exchange for an ongoing royalty on sales from those new patents. As ReElement expands its operations with the new capital, Royalty Management expects to receive increased and expanded revenues from the refining technologies that fall under this program.
Thomas Sauve, Chief Executive Officer of Royalty Management, commented, “ReElement has consistently demonstrated that their novel rare earth and critical mineral refining methods are the next generation of how the world looks at this industry, especially from a cost-competitive and purity standpoint. We are excited about having this relationship where Royalty can help provide the technology advancements in partnership with ReElement to help them continue to drive process and efficiency.”
The U.S. Department of War’s investment underscores the strategic importance of domestic critical mineral production for national security. ReElement’s technology addresses the growing demand for rare earth elements in defense applications, electric vehicles, and renewable energy systems. By refining end-of-life recycled materials, virgin ores, and manufacturing byproducts, the company contributes to a circular economy while reducing reliance on foreign supply chains.
For Royalty Management, this development represents a key milestone in its strategy of acquiring and developing high-value assets in resource-driven and emerging technology industries. The company’s model involves structuring cash flow streams around assets that support communities and generate shareholder value. As ReElement scales its operations, the royalty income from the intellectual property program is expected to grow, providing a direct financial benefit to Royalty Management and its shareholders.
