Royalty Management Holding Corporation (Nasdaq: RMCO) announced today that its portfolio holding, ReElement Technologies, has entered into a series of financings that will accelerate the expansion of its critical mineral refining operations, directly benefiting Royalty Management through a royalty agreement tied to new technologies.
ReElement Technologies, based in Noblesville and Marion, Indiana, is a critical mineral refining company that processes recycled materials, virgin ores, and manufacturing byproducts using an innovative chromatographic separation platform to produce magnet-grade rare earth elements and other critical minerals. The company recently secured a $25 million investment from the United States Department of War to accelerate production of these minerals, which are essential for defense and commercial industries. This investment adds to a previously closed investment from Transition Equity Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm.
Royalty Management has an intellectual property development program with ReElement, under which Royalty provides capital for developing patents and technologies around refining in exchange for an ongoing royalty from sales resulting from those patents. As ReElement expands operations with the new capital, Royalty Management expects increased revenues from refining technologies that fall under this program.
Thomas Sauve, Chief Executive Officer of Royalty Management, commented, “ReElement has consistently demonstrated that their novel rare earth and critical mineral refining methods are the next generation of how the world looks at this industry, especially from a cost-competitive and purity standpoint. We are excited about having this relationship where Royalty can help provide the technology advancements in partnership with ReElement to help them continue to drive process and efficiency.”
The financing news underscores the growing importance of domestic critical mineral supply chains, particularly for defense and electrification. ReElement’s technology aims to reduce reliance on foreign sources for rare earth elements, which are vital for permanent magnets used in electric vehicles, wind turbines, and military systems. The Department of War’s investment signals federal prioritization of securing these materials.
For Royalty Management, the arrangement provides a direct financial stake in ReElement’s growth without diluting equity. The company’s model focuses on acquiring and structuring cash flow streams from high-value assets. More information is available at www.royaltymgmtcorp.com.
This development highlights the intersection of private capital and federal support in advancing critical mineral processing, a sector deemed crucial for national security and clean energy transitions.
