Powermax Minerals Inc. (CSE: PMAX) (OTCQB: PWMXF) (FSE: T23) has launched its 2026 exploration program at its wholly owned Cameron Rare Earth Element (REE) project near Revelstoke, British Columbia. The three-week campaign is designed to build on previous geochemical results and refine exploration targets for future trenching and drilling.
The company plans to conduct detailed geological mapping, prospecting, and sampling of rock, soil, and stream sediments, along with targeted ground radiometric surveys. These activities aim to integrate geological, geochemical, and radiometric data to better define previously identified REE anomaly corridors, constrain potential bedrock source areas, and improve understanding of pegmatite-hosted mineralization.
Results from the program will be used to rank exploration targets and guide future work. Management emphasized that the project remains at an early stage and that geochemical or radiometric anomalies do not necessarily indicate the presence of economically recoverable mineralization. The Cameron REE property consists of three mineral claims totaling approximately 2,984 hectares. Powermax Minerals is a Canadian exploration company focused on advancing rare earth element projects. In addition to Cameron, the company holds options to acquire the Atikokan REE Property in northwestern Ontario (455 unpatented mining claims), the Pinard REE in northern Ontario (5,178 hectares), and owns a 100% interest in the Ogden Bear Lodge Project in Crook County, Wyoming.
Rare earth elements are critical for various high-tech applications, including electronics, magnets, and defense systems. As global demand for these materials increases, exploration projects like Cameron could play a role in securing supply chains. However, the early-stage nature of the project means that significant work remains before any potential development.
