Trailbreaker Resources Ltd. (TBK.V) has announced the completion of its maiden drill program at the Highlands Zone and the mobilization of the drill to the Swan Zone at its 100%-owned Atsutla Gold Project in northwestern British Columbia, Canada. The two zones, located 26 kilometers apart, represent distinct geological targets: the Highlands Zone hosts high-grade vein-hosted gold, silver, and copper, while the Swan Zone is a copper-gold-silver porphyry target that has never been drilled.
The company completed four diamond drill holes totaling 883.40 meters at the Highlands Zone, testing a strike length of 500 meters and a vertical extent of 412 meters. Drilling targeted high-grade, vein-hosted gold, silver, and copper showings within the Jurassic Christmas Creek batholith. The Swan Zone, hosted in the Cretaceous Glundebery batholith, is defined by a 1.5 km x 1.5 km multi-element soil geochemical anomaly (gold, copper, silver, arsenic, molybdenum, antimony, bismuth). Rock grab samples from the zone grade up to 11.7 g/t gold, 212 g/t silver, and 0.81% copper. The geochemical anomaly coincides with a 2.1 km x 1.4 km donut-shaped chargeability high from a 2024 induced polarization survey and a magnetic low signature from airborne magnetic and radiometric surveys.
CEO Daithi Mac Gearailt stated, “The Swan Zone continues to be one of the most compelling targets in Trailbreaker’s portfolio. Over the past five years we have developed this prospect from a new discovery and have added layers of data through systematic exploration.” The diamond drill program will target surface and geophysical anomalies, testing an estimated strike length of 1,000 meters to a vertical depth exceeding 400 meters. The company anticipates that the preliminary program will improve understanding of mineralization controls and the deposit model to support future drill campaigns.
Although limited historic drilling occurred in the valley adjacent to the Swan Zone, the zone itself remains untested. The Atsutla Gold Project, centered over the Teslin-Thibert fault system, has yielded five significant zones of gold mineralization since discovery in 2020. These include the Highlands Zone, Christmas Creek Zone, Snook Zone, Willie Jack Zone, and Swan Zone.
In September 2026, Trailbreaker plans to drill several copper-gold porphyry targets at the Coho property, located 30 kilometers northwest of the Mt. Milligan mine in central BC, as detailed in the May 25, 2026 news release. The company remains focused on exploration in mining-friendly British Columbia and Yukon Territory.
