CLEVELAND, OH — Mishkind Kulwicki Law Co., LPA, a personal injury firm based in Cleveland, has announced the creation of the Helping Victims Scholarship, a $1,000 award aimed at students who are committed to supporting individuals harmed by negligence, recklessness, or malicious actions. The scholarship is open to students from any academic discipline, reflecting the firm’s belief that helping victims extends beyond the legal profession.
According to the firm, a victim in personal injury law is someone who has suffered physical or psychological harm due to another person or entity’s wrongful conduct. Attorney Howard D. Mishkind emphasized the firm’s dedication to its clients. “We feel fortunate to do the work we do. We take pride in shouldering our clients’ legal burdens so they can focus on healing and getting back to the way their lives were before they suffered an unnecessary injury or loss,” Mishkind said.
The firm acknowledges that many professionals—including social workers, counselors, medical professionals, advocates, and policymakers—play a vital role in helping victims rebuild their lives. The Helping Victims Scholarship was created to honor and invest in students across these fields. “The more people who are out in the world doing good to help victims in need, the better and more compassionate the world will be,” added Attorney David A. Kulwicki. “We want to support the education of a goal-oriented student with a passion for helping others.”
Eligibility requirements and application materials are available on the firm’s website. Applications must be submitted by March 31, 2027, via email to dkulwicki@mishkindlaw.com. The scholarship winner will be announced in May 2027. Mishkind Kulwicki Law Co. handles a wide range of personal injury cases, including medical malpractice, birth injuries, brain injuries, motor vehicle accidents, nursing home abuse, truck accidents, vaccine injuries, and wrongful death. The firm prides itself on handling clients’ legal burdens with compassion and tenacity, allowing clients to focus on healing.
