MEDICLIN Aktiengesellschaft (Ticker: MED; WKN 659 510) reported consolidated group revenues of EUR 386.4 million for the first half of 2026, up 5.0% from EUR 368.1 million in the prior year. Group EBIT improved by 19.2% to EUR 26.6 million, compared with EUR 22.4 million a year earlier. The company treated 54,708 patients during the period, versus 53,183 in the first half of 2025.
CFO Tino Fritz attributed the results to consistent momentum from the first quarter, stating: “Stability in our core business areas, efficient cost management and targeted investments have helped us to achieve our earnings targets for the second quarter. We remain determined to maintain this momentum and to strengthen MEDICLIN’s growth in the long term.”
In the Post-Acute segment, revenues rose 4.6% to EUR 263.0 million, while the cost of materials ratio improved to 19.0% from 20.0%. Staff costs increased 7.2% to EUR 145.2 million, pushing the staff costs ratio to 55.2% from 53.9%. Segment EBIT grew to EUR 25.6 million from EUR 23.3 million.
The Acute Care segment saw revenues of EUR 111.2 million, up from EUR 104.6 million, but EBIT remained negative at EUR -1.1 million for both periods. Cost of materials rose 12.2% to EUR 34.6 million, with the cost ratio increasing to 31.1% from 29.5%. Staff costs rose 6.3% to EUR 68.6 million, though the staff cost ratio remained stable at 61.7%.
Revenue in the Care segment edged up to EUR 12.3 million from EUR 12.1 million, and segment EBIT turned positive at EUR 0.2 million, compared with a loss of EUR -0.2 million a year ago. In the Service segment, other income reached EUR 69.2 million, slightly above the prior year’s EUR 68.5 million, and EBIT improved to EUR 1.9 million from EUR 0.5 million.
Looking ahead, management confirmed its full-year guidance, expecting consolidated group revenue growth of 3.5% to 6.5% and group EBIT between EUR 57.0 million and EUR 72.0 million. The interim report as of June 30, 2026, is available at www.mediclin.de in German and English.
