Resolute Dynamics Expands Fleet Safety Solutions Amid New Speed Limiter Mandates in Malaysia and Singapore

As Malaysia and Singapore implement significant speed limiter compliance changes this year, Resolute Dynamics, a Dubai-based manufacturer of speed limiters, GPS tracking and fleet safety technology, is expanding its range of intelligent fleet safety solutions for commercial operators in both markets.

In Malaysia, the Road Transport Department (JPJ) has been rolling out its Speed Limitation Device mandate in phases. Functionality verification started in October 2025, ECU activation for older vehicles followed in January 2026, and full retrofit enforcement, originally due in July 2026, has been postponed with a grace period in effect. However, an Accelerated Capital Allowance for SLD installation remains available only until 31 December 2026. Resolute Dynamics, a JPJ-authorized SLD provider, supplies UN R89-compliant devices capped at 90 km/h for heavy goods vehicles, buses and passenger fleets nationwide. This positions the company to help fleet operators meet the mandate while taking advantage of the tax incentive before it expires.

In Singapore, the Land Transport Authority and Singapore Police Force enforce a new requirement, effective 1 January 2026, for lorries between 3,501kg and 12,000kg Maximum Laden Weight to carry a 60 km/h speed limiter fitted by an authorised agent. Resolute Dynamics supplies systems built to meet this standard, ensuring compliance for fleets operating in the city-state.

The expansion goes beyond core speed limiting. Resolute Dynamics’ regional offering includes dual and multi-speed limiters for mixed urban and expressway routes, RPM regulators, GPS tracking integration and workshop smart lift monitoring. These solutions are backed by fleet pricing, on-site installation and operator training, and the company serves a footprint of more than 200,000 vehicles in over 20 countries.

The importance of these developments lies in the regulatory shifts themselves. Speed limiters are proven to reduce traffic accidents and fatalities, and their mandatory implementation in Malaysia and Singapore represents a significant step toward safer roads. For fleet operators, compliance is not just a legal obligation but also a financial consideration. The Malaysian government’s Accelerated Capital Allowance, available only until the end of 2026, provides a window of opportunity for companies to upgrade their vehicles at a reduced cost. Similarly, Singapore’s strict enforcement from January 2026 underscores the need for fleets to act promptly.

Resolute Dynamics’ expansion into these markets with a comprehensive suite of safety solutions means that operators can now access not only the required speed limiters but also complementary technologies that enhance fleet management and safety. The integration of GPS tracking and smart lift monitoring, for example, offers additional layers of operational efficiency and vehicle maintenance oversight. With over a decade of research and development behind its compliance technology, Resolute Dynamics aims to support fleets in navigating these regulatory changes while improving overall road safety.
