Vinhomes has unveiled the master plan for Vinhomes Global Gate Ha Long, a sprawling 6,200-hectare integrated urban development beside the UNESCO-listed Ha Long Bay, marking the company’s largest project to date and a philosophical shift in how urban success is measured. Rather than emphasizing sheer land area, the developer is focusing on the value each hectare delivers to residents, a response to evolving global standards for city-building that prioritize connectivity, climate resilience, and quality of life.
For decades, the industry gauged ambition by acreage, with developments over 2,500 acres considered large-scale. However, as urban challenges mount—from climate change to population growth and shifting mobility patterns—the OECD argues that future cities must do more than expand; they must integrate nature, connect people to jobs and services, and strengthen resilience. Vinhomes Global Gate Ha Long is designed to embody these principles, positioned strategically along the Hanoi–Hai Phong–Quang Ninh Expressway, at the crossroads of northern Vietnam’s tourism, industrial, and logistics corridors.

Hospitality and leisure offerings include luxury hotels, integrated casino facilities, a 950-hectare golf complex with 12 courses, an 800-hectare mangrove recreational park, and Wonder Marina for direct bay access. Commerce thrives with Vincom Mega Mall, premium outlets, and retail streets, creating a 24-hour environment. Sports and wellness are prioritized with Vietnam’s first purpose-built Sports District spanning 13.3 hectares, a professional sports academy, and 50 kilometers of cycling routes. Health and education are covered by the 14-hectare Vinmec Cleveland Clinic International Hospital, Vin New Horizon senior living center, Vinschool campuses, an American international school, and Wonder Young Hub for youth development.
Anchoring economic growth is a new central business district with office towers of 30 to 45 stories, poised to attract businesses and solidify Ha Long’s role as a financial hub. The entire development aligns with ISO 37125, the latest international standard for sustainable urban development, and incorporates smart technologies like AI and IoT for efficient city management.
