East Hollywood residents gathered at the Church of Scientology Los Angeles on Tuesday evening to celebrate National Night Out, joining thousands of communities across the United States in the annual campaign to strengthen neighborhood relationships and promote public safety awareness.
The event, part of a nationwide initiative supported by approximately 16,000 communities, aimed to enhance camaraderie among neighbors and build stronger partnerships between residents and first responders. The focus was on creating safer, more connected neighborhoods through community involvement.
The family-friendly celebration featured carnival games, a bouncy house, face painting, popcorn, cotton candy, and a water slide for young attendees. Families had the opportunity to meet neighbors and strengthen community ties in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual support.
The afternoon began with the singing of the National Anthem and included special recognition for firefighters from Los Angeles Fire Department Station 35. The firefighters were presented with a Certificate of Recognition in appreciation of their dedication and service to the residents of Los Angeles.
“National Night Out is a reminder that strong communities are built through cooperation, mutual support and shared responsibility,” said a representative of the Church of Scientology Los Angeles. “Bringing families, neighbors and community organizations together helps create the kind of environment where people feel connected, supported and empowered to improve conditions in their community.”
