Lotto.com and Greyhound Pets of America Host Adoption Event in Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS — Lotto.com, the first online lottery platform in the United States to digitally deliver draw and instant games, teamed up with Greyhound Pets of America (GPA) to host a community adoption event on June 20 at its Players Cafe in Minneapolis. The event brought together dog lovers and community members for a morning of activities while raising awareness for the organization that helps retired racing greyhounds find loving homes.

Attendees had the chance to meet greyhounds available for adoption and enjoy special promotions, including 50% off selected beverages and 25% off coupons for future non-lottery purchases. Lotto.com also made a donation to GPA to help cover adoption fees for future families.

The event highlighted Lotto.com’s commitment to community impact beyond digital lottery access. “The community is at the core of everything we do at Lotto.com,” said Thomas Metzger, CEO of Lotto.com Inc. “Collaborating with organizations like Greyhound Pets of America allows us to support important causes while bringing people together in a positive and memorable way.”

A special moment came with the presence of Bailey and Rhea, two retired racing greyhounds who had recently arrived from West Virginia racetracks. They quickly won the hearts of attendees, and several adoption applications were submitted that same day.

“We at GPA-MN are thrilled to have had this opportunity to show the community how wonderful retired racing greyhounds can be as pets,” said Janelle Thienes, a board member of GPA. “The Players Cafe location, with its constant flow of visitors, allowed us to introduce our foster greyhounds to many dog-loving people in the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis. We and the dogs especially appreciate Lotto.com’s donation, which helps cover veterinary expenses and keeps adoption fees affordable for more families.”

Lotto.com’s donation will support GPA’s rescue and adoption programs, helping cover adoption costs and facilitating permanent homes for these dogs. The company has also recently partnered with Food For Thought Denver™ to combat food insecurity, reinforcing its commitment to local communities.

Currently, Lotto.com operates in 11 states, including Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and Oregon, with plans to expand further. For more information about Lotto.com or to order official state lottery tickets, visit www.lotto.com.

This initiative underscores Lotto.com’s broader mission to invest in the communities it serves, leveraging its platform to support causes that improve quality of life.
