Charbone Corporation (TSXV: CH; OTCQB: CHHYF; FSE: K47), a vertically integrated industrial gases company focused on clean ultra-high-purity (UHP) hydrogen, announced the delivery of its electrolyzer to its flagship site in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec. This arrival is a major milestone for Phase 1B of the project, signaling tangible progress in the company’s plan to boost clean UHP hydrogen production capacity and meet growing demand from industrial customers.
The electrolyzer, which produces hydrogen through water electrolysis, is the technological core of the next production phase. Its delivery enables Charbone’s teams, construction contractors, and technical partners to begin positioning, installation, and integration into the site’s infrastructure. Civil engineering and foundation preparation have been planned to accommodate the equipment. Activities will proceed according to the company’s execution schedule, including component assembly, mechanical and electrical connections, testing, and commissioning.
This development aligns with Charbone’s modular and phased strategy, allowing the company to add production capacity in line with demand while maintaining a disciplined approach. The company’s approach supports scalable growth and operational flexibility, serving customers in sectors such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence and data centers, advanced pharmaceuticals, and aerospace and defense technologies, where UHP gases are critical for high-precision manufacturing.
Dave Gagnon, President and CEO of Charbone, expressed pride in the achievement: “It is with immense pride that we announce the arrival of our electrolyzer in Sorel-Tracy today. This is far more than the delivery of a piece of equipment, it represents the achievement of a pivotal step in realizing our vision and one of the most important milestones in the Company’s history. The risks associated with delivery are now behind us.” He added, “Our previously communicated timeline of a fall launch remains on track, and we look forward to providing further updates as we advance through the next stages of commissioning and ramp-up.”
The Sorel-Tracy site is central to Charbone’s network of clean UHP hydrogen production facilities across North America and selected international markets. By expanding capacity, Charbone aims to address supply gaps for underserved industrial customers and support the transition to a lower-carbon economy. The company’s integrated storage and distribution platform for all UHP gases, including hydrogen, helium, and oxygen, enables more stable and diversified revenue generation.
