Powermax Minerals Commences 2026 Exploration at Cameron REE Project

Powermax Minerals Inc. (CSE: PMAX) (OTCQB: PWMXF) has initiated its 2026 field exploration program at its 100%-owned Cameron Rare Earth Element (REE) Project in British Columbia, a move that underscores the company’s commitment to advancing its position in the critical minerals sector. The three-week program will utilize geological mapping, prospecting, rock/soil/stream sediment sampling, ground radiometric surveys, and integrated data analysis to refine REE target corridors and identify potential bedrock sources. This work is designed to prioritize areas for future trenching and first-pass drilling, bringing the project closer to resource definition.

The Cameron Project, covering 2,984 hectares, has already shown promising results from earlier Phase 1 and 2 exploration. Soil samples returned total rare earth oxide (TREO) values of up to approximately 2,840 ppm, while surface rock samples reached 740 ppm. These findings highlight the presence of both light and heavy rare earth elements across multiple geological units, enhancing the project’s economic potential. The property also shows prospectivity for niobium and other mineralization, adding to its strategic value.

The importance of this exploration cannot be overstated. Rare earth elements are essential components in modern technologies, including electric vehicles, wind turbines, and defense systems. With global supply chains heavily reliant on a few dominant producers, projects like Cameron are critical to diversifying supply and meeting future demand. By advancing its exploration, Powermax is positioning itself to contribute to the Western Hemisphere’s rare earth supply chain, which is a priority for many governments seeking to reduce dependence on foreign sources.

The company’s focus on REE projects is further demonstrated by its portfolio, which includes options on the Atikokan REE Property and Pinard REE Property in NW Ontario, as well as full ownership of the Ogden Bear Lodge Project in Wyoming. This diversified approach mitigates risk and increases the likelihood of discovering economically viable deposits.

Powermax’s management has emphasized the strategic timing of the exploration program, aligning with increased global investment in clean energy and critical minerals. The company is leveraging advanced exploration techniques to efficiently evaluate the Cameron Project’s potential, which could lead to significant value creation for shareholders and contribute to the broader energy transition.

For investors and industry observers, the progress at Cameron is a key indicator of Powermax’s operational capabilities and its potential to become a notable player in the rare earth sector. The results of this program will be eagerly anticipated, as they will provide crucial data for future development decisions.
