Liberty Puerto Rico and Hispanic Information Telecommunications Network (HITN) announced a new partnership that brings Edye, HITN’s premium content ecosystem for preschool-age children, to Liberty TV customers in Puerto Rico. Starting this week, customers can add Edye to any television package for just $2.99 per month, providing a safe, ad-free Spanish-language option with curated content for children ages two to six.
Edye will be available as an à la carte option within Liberty’s entertainment packages and can also be accessed through Liberty Go, the exclusive app for Liberty TV customers that offers live channels on mobile devices and tablets. Users can additionally access content through the Edye app, available on the App Store and Google Play. This move underscores Liberty’s commitment to offering trusted educational entertainment to families on the island.
Edye’s programming is designed to nurture curiosity, imagination, and discovery through beloved characters and stories. Beyond entertainment, the platform aims to spark conversations between parents and children, turning screen time into family bonding opportunities. With an extensive library featuring shows like Daniel Tiger, Pocoyo, Paw Patrol, and Molang, Edye offers more than 2,500 episodes across over 70 preschool series, along with games and parent guides to extend learning beyond the screen.
Eric Turpin, General Manager of HITN, emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating, “Puerto Rico has always been a core part of our audience, and this partnership lets us reach families wherever they are. Edye was created to give parents peace of mind and offer children content that supports their development. Bringing this experience to Liberty customers means even more families on the Island can turn screen time into family connection time.”
Quique Vivas, Chief Consumer Officer at Liberty, echoed this sentiment, saying, “Adding Edye to our lineup is part of our commitment to bringing Puerto Rican families the best in entertainment and education, all in one place. Our customers are always looking for content they can trust for their little ones, and Edye is exactly that. We’re very happy and proud to be able to offer this high-quality platform to our customers.”
This partnership strengthens Liberty’s position as the island’s leading provider of broadband internet, video, telephone, and wireless services. It also expands Edye’s growing subscriber base, which already spans the United States, Latin America, and Brazil. For more than seven years, Edye has been available in Spanish and Portuguese on major digital platforms and devices, as well as through pay-TV, internet, and mobile phone operators.
Parents interested in this new offering can find more information on Edye’s website or through the Edye play website. The platform is also accessible via mobile apps on Google Play and the App Store.
