Focus Universal’s Smart IoT Devices Secure International Certifications, Paving Way for Global Market Expansion

Focus Universal Inc. (Nasdaq: FCUV), a provider of patented Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G technologies, announced that its Universal Smart Device and associated sensors have successfully passed certification by accredited laboratories GRG Metrology & Test Group Co., Ltd. and Centre Testing International Group Co., Ltd. The certification encompasses the company’s universal smart device, pH sensor, total dissolved solids (TDS) sensor, oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) sensor, total dissolved oxygen sensor, and turbidity sensors. These certificates and reports, issued by laboratories with international credibility, are expected to bolster Focus’s efforts in both local and global markets.

The IoT industry has long been recognized for its transformative potential, yet widespread adoption has been hindered by high research and development costs, technical complexity, and lengthy development cycles. Focus’s Universal Smart IoT platform aims to address these challenges by providing a common foundation that can eliminate up to 90% of the hardware and software development typically required for customized IoT systems. The company’s mission is to make IoT as simple and cost-effective as traditional standalone devices while delivering full IoT capabilities—a goal that has required over 20 years of development to establish the platform, develop compatible industrial sensors, and prove the technology’s practicality, scalability, and commercial viability.

Desheng Wang, CEO of Focus Universal, emphasized the significance of the certification: “The completion of the certification process is therefore a significant step forward. It removes a key commercialization barrier and allows us to move from technology development toward broader domestic and international market deployment.” This milestone enables Focus to market its products globally, tapping into a market that is projected to experience substantial growth.

According to Statista, the number of IoT devices worldwide is expected to grow from 19.8 billion in 2025 to over 40.6 billion by 2034. The global IoT market, valued at USD 1.18 trillion in 2023, is projected to reach USD 2.65 trillion by 2030, reflecting a compound annual growth rate of 11.4% from 2024 to 2030. Despite this immense potential, industry surveys reveal a high failure rate for IoT projects: Cisco reports a 75% failure rate, while Microsoft found that 30% of projects fail at the early proof-of-concept stage. Focus Universal’s technology was specifically developed to address these challenges, offering up to 90% cost savings and unprecedented simplification of IoT deployment.

With the certification now complete, Focus Universal is positioned to accelerate the adoption of its IoT solutions worldwide. The company’s patented technologies, which include five disruptive platforms with 26 patents and eight trademarks pending, are designed to reduce costs, development timelines, and energy usage while increasing range, speed, efficiency, and security. As the company moves from development to deployment, it aims to unlock the full potential of the IoT revolution and bring its solutions to the global base of 19.8 billion IoT device users.
