PineGen AI Update Targets Accuracy and Consistency in AI-Generated Pine Script Strategies

PineGen AI, an AI-powered platform for TradingView Pine Script strategy development, has announced a set of platform upgrades focused on compiler speed, validator performance, and backtesting consistency. The update, rolled out this month, is designed to strengthen the stage between generating a trading idea and turning it into a strategy a trader can validate, test and refine.

AI can now generate Pine Script from a natural-language prompt in seconds. For many traders, however, generation is only the beginning. Code can fail to compile, generated logic can miss part of the original requirement, and inconsistent backtest results can make it difficult to determine whether a strategy is behaving as intended. PineGen AI’s latest update targets that part of the workflow.

One key improvement is the upgraded compiler, which reduces response generation time and cuts down on failed or incomplete generations. When the compiler flags an issue, the platform’s Smart AI Debugger resolves it automatically before the script reaches the user. This reduces technical friction and allows traders to focus on strategy logic rather than debugging.

More significantly, a new validator layer checks generated code not just for compiler errors, but also for whether it implements the logic a trader actually requested. In internal testing, the system reached approximately 90% accuracy against stated user requirements. It can identify gaps that might not trigger a compiler error, such as a missing session filter or an unenforced per-session trade limit. This is a shift from merely generating code to ensuring it aligns with the trader’s intent.

The update also rebuilds the backtesting workflow to deliver more consistent results across repeated runs. Traders can review results against a live TradingView-connected chart preview inside the platform, with entries, exits, signal markers, stop-loss levels and session windows visible alongside performance metrics. They can then refine the strategy with a follow-up prompt and review the updated preview. This visual feedback loop helps traders understand how their strategy behaves in a practical context.

Defaults have been reinforced to support strategy accuracy: generated scripts use Pine Script version 6 conventions and current namespaces, and anti-repainting parameters are applied automatically to help reduce divergence between backtest behavior and real-time execution. These measures address common pitfalls in strategy development.

“AI can already generate Pine Script in seconds,” said Rangana Upul, Founder and CEO of PineGen AI. “The bigger challenge is what comes after: validating, testing and refining that code into something a trader can actually work with. This update is focused on strengthening that part of the process.”

PineGen AI connects requirements extraction, requirements analysis, Pine Script version 6 generation, requirements-coverage validation, compiler validation, backtesting and delivery within a single workflow. Traders can refine a script iteratively within the same session, adjusting logic, revisiting requirements or testing variations without restarting from scratch. This approach is designed to keep traders from treating an initial AI-generated draft as a finished strategy, instead providing a workflow for moving from a natural-language idea to a strategy that can be inspected, tested and refined.

For traders, the update means faster generation, more accurate code, more consistent backtesting, and less technical friction. The platform is available now at https://www.pinegen.ai/app with the upgrades live. The platform is free to start with no credit card required.
