Nevada Organic Phosphate Reports Low Heavy Metals in Step-Out Drill Hole at Murdock Mountain

Nevada Organic Phosphate Inc. (CSE: NOP; OTCQB: NOPFF) has released new assay results from its Murdock Mountain project in northeast Nevada, confirming that heavy metal concentrations in the Upper Phosphatic Zone remain well below limits set for organic fertilizer certification. The results come from drill hole MM26-10, a step-out hole located 1.5 kilometres along strike from previous drilling.

The company reported that individual samples from the interval, which previously returned 10.89% P2O5 over 3.60 metres, contain arsenic, cadmium, mercury, lead, and other heavy metals below the thresholds established by the Association of American Plant Food Control Officials (AAPFCO) SUIP #25 for fertilizer containing 10% P2O5. These thresholds are critical for products seeking organic certification, as high heavy metal content can disqualify fertilizers from such status.

According to the company, the results continue to demonstrate predictable, low heavy metals content in the Upper Phosphatic Zone, supporting its objective of positioning the project for the organic fertilizer market. This is particularly significant given the growing demand for organic farming inputs and the limited supply of certified organic phosphate sources.

The Murdock Mountain project is believed to be the only known large-scale organic sedimentary phosphate project in North America. The company holds a sedimentary raw rock phosphate bed that is 6.6 kilometres long, with additional applications extending the potential strike to over 30 kilometres. The project is strategically located near the main highway to Montello/Elko, Nevada, and close to a rail head that provides access to California markets.
