FG Brands Launches First Dual-Concept Beauty Studio, Offering New Franchise Model

FG Brands, the franchise platform behind Bare&Sol™ and facial collective®, has opened what it calls the beauty and wellness franchise industry’s first dual-concept studio in Birmingham, Alabama’s Mountain Brook community. The new location, which debuted this month, combines two membership-based brands under one roof, a model the company is now offering to franchisees across the country.

The studio, located in Cahaba Village Plaza, has served the Birmingham community since 2013, originally as LA Bikini. After FG Brands acquired the business and rebranded it as Bare&Sol™ as part of a 2026 national rebrand, the studio was relocated within the same center and completely remodeled. The renovation added facial collective® as a co-located sister brand, creating the first studio of its kind in the franchise industry.

The dual-concept approach appears to be resonating with customers. According to FG Brands, the single location now serves more than 1,000 members across both brands, with a significant number holding memberships in both. The company notes that facial care, hair removal, and airbrush tanning are highly complementary services, and the studio’s opening membership numbers reflect the convenience of having all three available in one place.

For prospective franchisees, the Birmingham location serves as a working proof of concept. The dual-territory model allows two recurring-revenue membership brands to share one lease, one team, and one base of foot traffic. Jan Zalud, CEO of FG Brands, emphasized the strategic thinking behind the concept: “Birmingham shows exactly what we set out to build with this dual-concept model. This studio has been part of its community since 2013, and rather than start from scratch, we were able to reinvest in a proven location, remodel it, and bring facial collective alongside Bare&Sol under one roof.”

Zalud highlighted the importance of brand focus. “What makes this work is that each brand stays independent – facial collective focused on face care and aesthetics, Bare&Sol focused on hair removal and airbrush tanning. Neither one dilutes its expertise or identity by bolting on services outside its lane, which is a trap a lot of brands fall into as they try to grow.” He added, “Guests get the convenience of both under one roof, and franchisees get two focused, proven businesses instead of one that’s spread thin. We’re excited to offer this same opportunity to franchisees across the country.”

The franchise opportunity is designed to leverage the membership-based business models of both brands, where recurring monthly revenue remains a key driver of unit-level economics. By combining the service lines of facial collective® and Bare&Sol™, FG Brands aims to provide a unique value proposition to entrepreneurs.

Bare&Sol™, formerly LA Bikini, is described as the only franchise opportunity offering expert hair removal and airbrush spray tanning services under one roof. facial collective® is a modern, open-concept facial studio specializing in facial treatments, skincare product sales, and injectable regimens. Both brands are part of FG Brands, a self-care and wellness franchise platform that was design-built to function as the first co-located beauty studio in the franchise industry.
