Kaufman & Company Unifies Real Estate and Tech Ventures Under One Platform

Kaufman & Company, a permanent capital holding company founded and led by Daniel Kaufman, has officially launched its unified platform, bringing together ten operating companies and seven venture portfolio companies under one roof. The launch, marked by the debut of its new website, thekaufmanco.com, culminates more than a year of consolidation efforts aimed at integrating real estate, workforce housing, and venture investments into a single, cohesive structure.

The platform spans residential development, workforce housing, AI infrastructure, and venture capital. Daniel Kaufman, Founder and Principal, emphasized the strategic significance: “Our 2026 launch slate marks the full convergence of real estate and technology. We’ve spent the last year bringing every company we’ve built or backed under one platform so they can share capital, data, and execution discipline instead of operating in silos. This is the structure the work has been building toward.”

The new website presents the ten operating companies for the first time as part of a single integrated platform. These include Convivium Living, specializing in co-living communities; DanReDev, a Dallas-based build-to-rent and mixed-use developer; DEK Builds, which focuses on custom mountain homes; Design Build Affordable, addressing affordable housing in Florida; DK Homes, constructing new communities in the Northeast and Florida; Forge Development Partners, developing urban rental housing in Philadelphia; Kaufman Development, which has delivered over $1 billion in project value and more than 2,500 residential units; Kaufman Real Estate & Consulting, handling principal-side development strategy; LoneStar Kaufman, providing commercial and residential projects nationwide; and Kaufman Ventures, the venture capital arm.

Collectively, the platform reports more than $2 billion in project value delivered, over 10,000 housing units developed, and more than 25 years of experience. This scale positions Kaufman & Company as a significant player in the real estate and technology intersection.

Kaufman Ventures, formally introduced with this launch, comprises seven technology companies designed to serve the real estate industry, starting with Kaufman & Company’s own operations. These include BridgeStar, an AI-powered partner portal; Meridian, portfolio intelligence tooling; LandBriefing, a land intelligence platform; SpreadSight, data analytics for investment; FoundCheck, diligence tooling; and ServerDomes, which focuses on AI data center development. The venture strategy is to build tools that the operating companies rely on first, then offer them to the broader industry, potentially disrupting how real estate firms leverage technology.

The integration effort involved consolidating financial reporting, shared services, and go-to-market strategies across companies that previously operated with varying degrees of independence, while preserving each business’s identity and leadership. The new website also introduces a public-facing partner portal at BridgeStar.ai, giving borrowers, investors, and partners direct access to deal information. This move toward transparency and shared infrastructure is likely to enhance operational efficiency and cross-company collaboration.

Daniel Kaufman added, “Every company on this platform still runs the way it always has, with its own team and its own market focus. What changes is that we can now move capital, share underwriting discipline, and put technology like BridgeStar and Meridian to work across all of them at once. That is what this launch represents.” This integrated approach could set a precedent for how real estate holding companies leverage technology to optimize their portfolios.

The platform also maintains a relationship with Oldivai, an independently led workforce housing partner, which remains closely aligned but not one of the ten platform companies. This strategic move underscores a trend toward consolidation and technological integration in real estate, with implications for how companies scale and innovate.
