LoLo Care Launches Tech-Enabled Home Care Marketplace in North Carolina’s Triangle Region

RALEIGH, N.C. — A new home care platform is entering the Triangle market with a promise to give families more control and transparency while addressing what it calls a structural supply gap in the industry. LoLo Care, a marketplace connecting families with independent caregivers for non-medical support, announced its public launch on September 3, 2026, serving Wake County, including Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill.

The platform allows families to choose caregivers for services such as companionship, meal preparation, errands, rides, light housekeeping, and respite care. Unlike traditional agencies that often require four-hour minimums and high markups, LoLo Care offers bookings starting at one hour at a flat rate of $30 per hour, with $27 going directly to the caregiver. Families can review detailed profiles that include experience, ratings, and background-check status before making a selection.

“LoLo Care is empowering families with greater control over home care, offering flexibility and transparency at their fingertips,” said Charles Petrini-Poli, Co-Founder and CEO. “Our platform streamlines the home care process, enabling families to manage scheduling, updates, and payments all in one place. This ensures peace of mind while keeping everyone updated on the care being provided.”

The launch comes at a critical time. By 2030, all Baby Boomers will be 65 or older, and according to AARP and the National Alliance for Caregiving, one in four adults already serves as a caregiver. Geographic distance among family members has made coordination more challenging, often leaving adult children to act as full-time care managers. LoLo Care’s central family coordination hub allows relatives to share calendars, invite members, and review visit notes from caregivers, providing shared visibility after each visit.

The company already reports over 300 caregivers on the platform. While it does not promise same-day service, most assistance can be arranged within a few hours. The service is currently exclusive to Wake County, but the company has stated this is the first step in a nationwide expansion.

Traditional agency models often rely on manual coordination and high overhead, resulting in waitlists and high margin extraction, according to the company. LoLo Care aims to offer a more affordable alternative with tech-enabled infrastructure to bridge the gap. “LoLo Care is empowering families with greater control over home care, offering flexibility and transparency at their fingertips,” Petrini-Poli reiterated, emphasizing the platform’s mission to make aging at home stress-free, dignifying, and transparent.
