Hong Kong’s fashion scene ignited this week as the Fashion Hong Kong Runway Show took center stage during CENTRESTAGE, Asia’s annual fashion extravaganza. On the night of September 3, four prominent local brands—112 mountainyam, ANGUS TSUI, ARTY:ACTIVE, and Z I D I—unveiled their Spring/Summer 2027 collections under the theme “Hong Kong Dopamine.” The show, held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, drew a crowd of industry professionals, celebrities, and fashion enthusiasts, including luminaries such as Kay Tse, Kevin Chu, Tony Wu, Locker Lam, and Jessica Chan.
The theme “Hong Kong Dopamine” served as a creative lens for designers to interpret the city’s unique pulse. Each label translated different facets of Hong Kong’s urban energy into their collections, drawing from its lights and shadows, streets, architecture, cultural memories, and daily flow. The result was a spectrum of interpretations—from joy and dark humor to dynamics and lightness of defiance—delivering a sensory experience that captured the city’s vibrant spirit.
The event is part of CENTRESTAGE, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. CENTRESTAGE, now in its 2026 edition, runs until September 5 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Concurrently, the 45th Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and the 14th Salon de TIME are also being held at the same venue, jointly organized by the HKTDC, the Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades & Industries Ltd., and the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Ltd. All three events will conclude on September 5, with CENTRESTAGE and Salon de TIME open to both trade buyers and the general public, while the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair is exclusively for trade visitors.
The Fashion Hong Kong Runway Show is a key initiative under the Fashion Hong Kong program, which since 2015 has promoted Hong Kong designers and labels at international fashion weeks and renowned events across New York, London, Paris, Milan, Copenhagen, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Tokyo, and Seoul. This year’s show underscores the program’s mission to showcase Hong Kong’s diverse and unique fashion talent on a global stage.
The collaboration between HKTDC and CCIDA highlights the government’s commitment to fostering the cultural and creative industries. CCIDA, established in June 2024, provides one-stop services and support to the arts, culture, and creative sectors, aiming to reinforce Hong Kong’s position as Asia’s creative capital and an East-meets-West center for international cultural exchange.
