SS Innovations International, Inc. (NASDAQ: SSII) has reported significant growth in the utilization and global reach of its SSi Mantra surgical robotic system. As of Sept. 8, 2026, the company said cumulative procedures using the system reached 14,103, a 79% increase from 7,885 at the end of 2025. The installed base of SSi Mantra systems grew 42% to 238 units, up from 168 at year-end 2025.
The SSi Mantra is now installed in 12 countries, and approximately 1,500 physicians have been trained on the platform. The system has been used for more than 170 types of surgical procedures, according to the company. Recent international milestones include the launch of robotic cardiac surgery in Colombia, the installation of the first SSi Mantra in Sri Lanka, and the first telesurgery within the Philippines.
SS Innovations also highlighted 258 cumulative pediatric robotic surgeries and 188 robotic telesurgeries as of Aug. 31. These included a telesurgery performed over a distance of more than 13,600 miles between Colombia and India. In August, five SSi Mantra systems were used to complete 50 robotic general surgery procedures in a single day in India.
Looking ahead, the company expects the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to complete its review of the SSi Mantra 510(k) premarket notification by the end of the first quarter of 2027. SS Innovations also believes European Union CE marking certification can be obtained by year-end 2026. These regulatory milestones are critical for the company’s expansion into major markets and could significantly increase its addressable customer base.
The growth in procedures and installations matters because it demonstrates increasing adoption of a cost-effective alternative in the surgical robotics field, which has traditionally been dominated by expensive systems. SS Innovations aims to make robotic surgery affordable and accessible to a larger segment of the global population. The company’s product range includes the SSi Mantra system and the SSi Mudra suite of surgical instruments, which support a variety of procedures including cardiac surgery. An American company headquartered in India, SS Innovations plans to expand the global presence of its technologically advanced, user-friendly, and cost-effective surgical robotic solutions.
