German solar project developer hep global has restructured its management team, appointing Martin Vogt as Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. Vogt succeeds company founder Christian Hamann, who stepped down from the CEO role at his own request after nearly 17 years but will remain with the management team as Chief Financial Officer. Hamann had already taken responsibility for the finance division in May 2026. The succession plan, which the company said was carefully prepared over the long term, is aimed at ensuring continuity in corporate leadership and a clear distribution of management responsibilities.
Vogt, 44, has been with the hep global Group since early 2024 and most recently served as Chief Project Officer, overseeing global project development. In that role, he played a key part in the strategic and operational advancement of the project business. As CFO, Hamann will focus on the financial management of the company. The management team is rounded out by Georg von Eichendorff Strachwitz, who has served as Chief Operating Officer since 2021.
The leadership change matters because it signals stability for a company that is a specialist in the development of solar projects and battery energy storage systems. With over 15 years of experience, hep global has built a platform in Europe, Japan and North America, and the new CEO has indicated that the company will maintain its strategic focus while pursuing targeted growth. “I am very grateful for the trust of our employees, customers, and partners over the past 17 years,” Hamann said. “As an international developer of solar energy projects, we have made a significant contribution to the energy transition since our founding. Martin Vogt is a leader who knows our company, our markets, and our strategic priorities very well. At the same time, I will remain closely connected to hep global as CFO and will focus on the company’s financial management. This allows us to establish clear lines of responsibility while ensuring continuity in corporate leadership.”
Vogt thanked the founders and shareholders for their trust and highlighted the company’s experience and established platform. “hep global has many years of experience in the international development of solar energy projects and an established platform in our core markets. In recent years, we have consistently adapted our organizational and cost structures to changing market conditions. In doing so, we have laid the groundwork for the next phase of development. Our focus remains clear: We want to further strengthen our position as a reliable partner for the development of solar and battery storage projects. To this end, we are committed to continuity in our strategy and management, a focus on our core European markets, and targeted new growth initiatives.”
The hep global Group employs around 120 people worldwide with subsidiaries in Germany, Italy, Poland, the USA, Canada and Japan. The company’s strategic focus is on greenfield developments and the integration of battery energy storage systems. The management reorganization is effective immediately and comes as the renewable energy sector continues to evolve, with hep global positioning itself to capitalize on growing demand for solar and storage solutions.
