FingerMotion Inc. (NASDAQ: FNGR), through its wholly owned subsidiary Hanna Campus #1 Inc., has entered into a binding letter of intent to acquire approximately 20.2 acres of industrial land in Hanna, Alberta. The site is planned for a 9.9 MW artificial intelligence and high-performance computing facility, marking the second campus under FingerMotion’s broader Alberta program that targets about 99 MW across its Brooks, Coronation, Fox Creek and Vulcan Zones.
The Hanna site has 3 MW of grid power available through an agreement with the Town of Hanna and a natural gas interconnection through ATCO Energy to support behind-the-meter generation. The company intends to contract capacity to AI and HPC clients under long-term agreements before committing construction capital, with BlueFlare Group Holdings Inc. serving as development partner across the 99 MW program. FingerMotion expects permitting, power and design for each campus to take approximately 120 to 180 days.
The move signals FingerMotion’s strategic pivot toward the high-growth AI and HPC infrastructure market, leveraging its existing technology expertise. As demand for computing power surges, securing sites with available power and gas interconnections positions the company to capture long-term contracts and diversify revenue beyond its core mobile payment and recharge platform in China. The phased development approach, requiring client commitments before capital outlay, reduces financial risk while allowing FingerMotion to scale its Alberta footprint methodically.
FingerMotion’s core business remains mobile payment and recharge platform solutions in China, where it continues to grow its user base and develop value-added technologies. The company’s vision is to build an ecosystem of highly engaged users, eventually serving over 1 billion users in China and expanding to other regional markets. The Alberta program represents a significant expansion into North American digital infrastructure, aligning with the company’s evolving technology focus.
