CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Philanthropist and entrepreneur Morad Shaker announced the public launch of the Shaker Foundation for American Service Heroes, a Wyoming nonprofit corporation founded and funded by Shaker to honor, recognize, and build future opportunities for America’s military, veterans, first responders, public-safety personnel, government service communities, and their families. The foundation is headquartered in Cheyenne and operates independently, without seeking donations from individuals, governments, political groups, religious groups, companies, organizations, or foreign entities.
Shaker said the vision for the foundation began more than 20 years ago, when he made a private decision to one day create an organization to honor, protect, and stand beside the people who stand between America and danger. Over the years, he had the privilege of knowing and being close to military personnel and first responders, and he witnessed their discipline, loyalty, sacrifice, character, and deep commitment to protecting their communities and country.
“This vision stayed with me for more than two decades,” said Shaker, founder and president of the foundation. “I gave it time, planning, thought, and purpose. Now, in 2026 and 2027, the dream is beginning to become real.”
The foundation’s Employer Identification Number is 42-3934033, and it is a Wyoming nonprofit corporation active and in good standing. Its legal status, corporate information, EIN, and official documents are available through its public Legal Status & Corporate Information page. The official website, https://www.shakerfoundationforamericanserviceheroes.org/, remains under active development as it prepares additional legal documentation, administrative contact channels, and future communications. Last week, the foundation also launched its first official social-media channel on Facebook.
The foundation is one of eight nonprofit organizations founded and funded by Morad Shaker, whose wider work includes humanitarian, educational, integrity, animal-protection, community, and international service initiatives. This foundation, however, is dedicated specifically to the United States and to the people who have protected, defended, rescued, served, and strengthened the country.
“This is not another nonprofit organization created to ask the public for money,” Shaker said. “This Foundation is founder-funded. The plan is to serve—purely, independently, and with dignity. We are not seeking donations, government money, political support, religious funding, corporate sponsorship, or funding from any country or outside organization. We know how to serve, and we will serve.”
The foundation’s mission is designed as a long-term, five-generation commitment. Its future programs, recognition pathways, and participation opportunities are intended to include both those actively serving today and those who served years ago and are now retired, discharged, disabled, or rebuilding life after service. The foundation believes that a person’s service does not lose its value simply because time has passed, and retirees, veterans, former first responders, and prior public-safety personnel will not be treated as an afterthought.
The eligibility structure identifies nine service communities: military service members, veterans, federal law enforcement, homeland security personnel, intelligence and national security professionals, public safety personnel, first responders, emergency services personnel, and families of service heroes. Future work is expected to include structured pathways related to recognition, family support, education support, emergency assistance, military and veteran support, financial-stability planning, and future initiatives. Specific opportunities, standards, and eligibility requirements will be announced only after the foundation completes necessary legal, operational, and administrative preparation.
“Our country is safer because of people most Americans will never meet,” Shaker said. “The soldier on duty, the veteran carrying the memory of service, the police officer on the night shift, the firefighter entering danger, the paramedic responding to an emergency, the corrections officer, the sheriff, the Border Patrol agent, the TSA officer, the federal investigator, and the families who stand behind them—we thank you.”
Shaker is also leading Shaker Global Poverty Reduction, a multi-continental humanitarian initiative now in active development. Over the next six months, Operation Bangladesh—its pilot humanitarian program—will continue preparing the foundation for the next stage of this long-term global work.
