Hispanic Target Magazine has released a special cover edition featuring Argentine tennis coach Bruno Stretti, whose appointment as head coach of the Smatt Tennis Academy (All Florida Tennis LLC) is positioning South Florida as a magnet for world-class tennis talent. The academy, located at the Golden Isles Tennis Center in Hallandale Beach, offers four clay courts, six hard courts, and recreational areas, and Stretti’s leadership is expected to energize the local sports market and attract international competitors.
Stretti’s résumé includes coaching elite players such as Paula Ormaechea, a former world No. 59 and Argentina’s top-ranked player, and Tomás Martín Etcheverry, who reached world No. 25 on the ATP Tour. His Grand Slam debut as a coach came at Roland Garros in 2024, followed by the US Open in 2025, placing him among a select group of coaches with direct experience at all four major tournaments.
Beyond his on-court achievements, Stretti brings a rigorous academic and methodological foundation. He is a certified Physical Education Teacher, holds a Level B certification from the Global Professional Tennis Coach Association (GPTCA), and has specializations in applied performance. His versatility extends to serving as physical trainer for Argentina’s national lacrosse team at the 2018 World Championship in Israel.
Stretti’s journey began on the hard courts of Trelew, in Argentine Patagonia, where geographic isolation forged what the magazine describes as an unbreakable character and strategic vision. After competing for over six years in junior and professional tournaments sanctioned by the Argentine Tennis Association, COSAT circuits, ITF tournaments, and the Swiss professional circuit representing Lausanne Sports, he moved to Buenos Aires at 14. Beginning in 2019, he became a fundamental pillar of the Trelew Tennis Club’s high-performance program, coaching top prospects such as Estanislao Lassaga and spearheading efforts to bring M25 and W15 professional tournaments to Patagonia.
His arrival in Hallandale Beach is seen as more than a coaching hire. According to the publication, Stretti embodies a comprehensive development model that combines discipline, resilience, and entrepreneurial vision centered on excellence and regional economic growth. By shaping athletes capable of competing at the highest level, he is also creating jobs and energizing Florida’s sports market.
