Wolfson Group Sees Rise of Multi-Category Wellness Consumer

As Healthy Aging Month drew to a close, Wolfson Group said the conversation around aging well is increasingly moving beyond any single aspect of health. Weight management, cognitive wellness, gut health, nutrition and men’s and women’s wellbeing are becoming part of a broader discussion about how people maintain their wellbeing throughout different stages of life.

The Scotland-based international consumer wellness company believes that shift is contributing to the rise of what it calls the multi-category wellness consumer, an individual whose interests and priorities extend across several areas of everyday wellbeing rather than fitting neatly within a single wellness category.

“Healthy ageing is a good example of how interconnected wellness has become,” said Scott Dingwall, Founder and CEO of Wolfson Group. “People may be thinking about their weight, cognitive performance, gut health, energy and other aspects of wellbeing at the same time. Increasingly, those aren’t separate conversations.”

For Wolfson Group, the trend reflects a broader evolution in how consumers approach everyday wellness. Rather than viewing areas such as nutrition, cognition, digestion and healthy aging independently, consumers may increasingly see them as different parts of a larger lifestyle. The company believes consumers are assembling their own approaches to wellness based on personal priorities, lifestyles and stages of life. Those priorities can also change over time, making wellness less about belonging to a single category and more about addressing a combination of interests.

That shift may have implications for retailers as well. Traditional retail categories remain important for helping consumers navigate products, but shoppers may arrive with interests that cross several departments or wellness segments. For brands, Wolfson Group believes the trend also increases the importance of consumer education. As wellness choices expand, companies have a responsibility to communicate clearly about what their products are, what category they serve and how they fit within a broader approach to everyday wellbeing.

“The opportunity isn’t about trying to make every product do everything,” Dingwall said. “It’s about recognizing that consumers can have several wellness priorities at the same time and helping them understand those categories in a clear and responsible way.”

Wolfson Group’s portfolio reflects that multi-category approach and includes the established wellness brands PhenQ, TestoPrime, NooCube and YourBiology, spanning categories such as weight management, cognitive wellness, gut health and men’s wellbeing.

The multi-category perspective also aligns with Wolfson Group’s broader U.S. strategy. The company has established a presence through Amazon and is working to expand its reach through additional online and brick-and-mortar retail channels. Following its September participation in the ECRM Vitamin, Weight Management & Sports Nutrition Session in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Wolfson Group continues to explore how its diversified portfolio can fit within the evolving U.S. wellness marketplace.

As it expands in the United States, Wolfson Group said it plans to continue examining emerging consumer behaviors and wellness trends while investing in consumer education, science-led brand development and a portfolio strategy built around multiple aspects of everyday wellbeing. According to Wolfson Group, its portfolio spans weight management, cognitive health, gut health, men’s wellness, beauty and healthy ageing, serving millions of consumers worldwide through direct-to-consumer, marketplace and retail channels. The brands are currently available to U.S. consumers through Amazon while the company pursues broader retail opportunities nationwide.
