The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will hold four major technology fairs in October, expecting to draw approximately 6,200 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions. The events will showcase advancements in consumer electronics, artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, future industries, smart lighting, and smart city applications, underscoring Hong Kong’s role as a hub for innovation and trade.
The fairs include the 46th Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and the 29th electronicAsia, both at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from 13 to 16 October. The 11th Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo will take place at AsiaWorld-Expo from 26 to 29 October, and the 28th Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) will be held at the HKCEC from 27 to 30 October. These events reflect global trends in industrial upgrading and digital transformation.
At a press conference, HKTDC Associate Executive Director Silas Chu emphasized the fairs’ alignment with Hong Kong’s strategic directions, including the development of an international innovation and technology centre. “The HKTDC is introducing several new elements at this year’s October fairs, including a new Future Industries Zone at the Autumn Electronics Fair, expanded showcases and business-matching opportunities for AI and robotics technologies,” Chu said. A dedicated GoGlobal Connect Zone will also provide advisory services to help Chinese Mainland enterprises expand internationally through Hong Kong.
The Autumn Electronics Fair and electronicAsia will bring together over 3,200 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions. The new Future Industries Zone, supported by the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau, will focus on five key themes: Future Computing, Future Manufacturing, Future Marine & Quantum Technologies, Future Microelectronics, and Future Wellness. Over 100 exhibitors, including Lenovo, AV Concept, and GP Energy Tech, will present cutting-edge solutions. The fair will also feature the Top 100 Future Industries Pioneer List and a start-up pitching competition.
