q.beyond Completes Oversubscribed Share Buyback, Reinforcing AI Transformation Strategy

q.beyond AG has successfully completed its public share buyback offer, repurchasing 2,490,905 treasury shares, equivalent to around 10% of all shares in the company. The offer, initially published on 28 August 2026, was significantly oversubscribed, with a total of 4,878,907 shares validly tendered by the expiry of the acceptance period. The company had planned to repurchase up to 2,491,589 shares. Due to the high demand, acceptances were prorated at an allocation ratio of 51.07%. Based on the offer price of EUR 3.78 per share, the total purchase price stands at around EUR 9.42 million, fully exhausting the announced volume, as detailed in the release on www.newmediawire.com.

Settlement and payment of the purchase price to custodian banks is expected on 7 October 2026. Shares not allocated will be transferred back to the original ISIN DE000A41YDG0. CEO Thies Rixen explained the rationale: “In light of our current valuation, purchasing treasury shares represented the best option for deploying our high volume of net liquidity. Our accelerated AI transformation is currently creating an ever-stronger basis for growing our profitability and opening up new prospects for our shares. I am therefore convinced that this investment will pay off for q.beyond and our shareholders.”

The buyback matters because it underscores q.beyond’s confidence in its strategic direction, particularly its accelerated AI transformation. By returning capital to shareholders through a buyback, the company signals that it views its shares as undervalued and believes its AI-focused initiatives will drive future profitability. This move also reduces the number of shares outstanding, which can enhance earnings per share and provide a boost to shareholder value. q.beyond, which positions itself as the leading IT partner for SMEs, serves European customers with sovereign IT solutions and proprietary, certified AI data centres. The company’s core activities include public and private clouds, Microsoft and SAP-based applications, artificial intelligence, and IT security. With more than 1,000 specialists across Germany, Latvia, Spain, Romania, India, and the USA, q.beyond is publicly listed and continues to expand its footprint.
