AI Golf Club G·GRIP Pro Launches on Kickstarter to Reveal Why Golfers Miss

Golfers who spend countless hours on the range and take endless lessons often still struggle to improve because the critical elements of a swing—hand pressure and the club’s subtle movements—are invisible to the naked eye. Existing launch monitors and swing analyzers provide result-based data like distance and direction, but they fail to explain why those results occur. SG Lab aims to change that with G·GRIP Pro, an AI-powered intelligent golf club that the company says is the first in the world to integrate sensors inside the club to measure and analyze grip pressure in real time.

G·GRIP Pro is set to launch worldwide through the global crowdfunding platform Kickstarter, with backing available on the Kickstarter website starting October 6th, 2026. Special benefits are planned for launch day backers. The club has already gained recognition for its technology, securing two CES 2025 Innovation Awards and a CES 2026 Award.

Unlike traditional analysis devices that require separate cameras or wearable sensors, G·GRIP Pro collects a wide array of swing data directly from the club itself. This includes finger-by-finger pressure changes, swing path, face angle, and tempo. From address to impact, it precisely visualizes changes in hand pressure and swing flow, allowing golfers to understand not only the result of their swing but also the underlying causes behind unstable shots through data-driven analysis.

What sets G·GRIP Pro apart is its focus on analyzing the cause rather than just the result. By correlating grip pressure changes with swing path and face angle, it enables more fundamental swing correction. Measured data is stored as “Swing DNA,” allowing golfers to accumulate personal swing patterns and compare them against their best swings. The AI-based coaching system provides intuitive sentence-style feedback, helping users easily understand both the cause of issues and ways to improve. Real-time feedback through haptic and earbud support allows immediate correction during play, while maintaining a weight and balance similar to a conventional golf club for a natural feel. On-device data storage, IP68 waterproof and dustproof protection, and a long-lasting battery make it highly practical for use in real field environments.

G·GRIP Pro was developed based on the long coaching experience of founder Eddie Cho, a former PGA professional, and presents a new approach that expands traditional feel-based golf instruction into data-driven training. The company is currently conducting technical validation in collaboration with multiple PGA professionals and global golf academies, while pursuing future market expansion with the ultimate goal of standardizing golf data.

An SG Lab representative stated, “G·GRIP Pro is not simply a swing measurement device, but a data-driven golf training tool that helps golfers accurately understand and repeatedly refine their swings,” adding, “Through this Kickstarter launch, we aim to introduce a new data-driven golf experience to golfers around the world.” The launch matters because it promises to shift golf instruction from subjective feel to objective data, potentially transforming how players at all levels diagnose and correct their swings.
