Noble Minerals Secures $215,000 Ontario Grant, Prepares Winter Drill Program at Lucas Gold Project

Noble Mineral Exploration Inc. is preparing to launch a diamond drilling program at its Lucas Gold Project, located approximately 30 kilometers north of Timmins, Ontario, after receiving a $215,000 grant from the Ontario government through the Ontario Junior Exploration Program. The company announced the update on October 7, 2026, noting that the program is expected to total about 2,500 to 3,000 meters. A recent site visit determined that a winter road will be required to access the property, as the road needs time to establish a stable, deep frozen base for heavy equipment.

The Lucas Gold Project sits in a prolific mining region. Timmins is world-famous for more than 75 million ounces of gold production, while the Kidd Creek Mine, 20 kilometers to the southwest, is celebrating its 58th year of continuous production with over 150 million tonnes of ore. The project is also about 20 kilometers east of the Crawford Nickel Resource currently being developed by Canada Nickel. Full industry services, supplies, and infrastructure are available in Timmins, with access via paved Highway 655, and there is ample access to power and water. Noble has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with local First Nations. A general location map with local infrastructure is available Click here to see Figure 1: General Location Map with Local Infrastructure.

In 2018, Noble completed 15 NQ size diamond drill holes totaling 3,184 meters, covering approximately 650 meters of strike length along a 1,700-meter gold mineralized structure identified from airborne electromagnetic and differential magnetic surveys. The company located 37 historical drill-hole collars in the field and twinned three of them. No further work has been done since 2018. The Lucas Gold Project hosts six discrete untested induced polarization anomalous trends that require follow-up exploration, but only one trend has been investigated by diamond drilling to date. Gold mineralization is interpreted to be structurally controlled and occurs as discrete lenses stacked within a pyrite-plus-gold mineralized tuffaceous unit. Figure 4 shows the plan of induced polarization zones projected to surface with collars of the 2018 drilling and magnetic background: Click here to see Figure 4: Plan of Induced Polarization Zones Projected to Surface with Collars of 2018 Drilling and Magnetic Background.

The development of the Lucas Gold Project is divided into three phases. Phase 1 aims to establish gold grade and extend the gold mineralized strike length to approximately 1,700 meters. Phase 2 will establish and verify gold mineralization in additional parallel IP anomalies. Phase 3 involves geological modeling and NI 43-101 Resource Definition. Future work would include drilling on IP Anomaly A to further define the gold mineralization, as well as testing the other five undrilled IP anomalies for gold mineralization similar to Anomaly A.
