Nordex Group Secures 389 MW of Wind Turbine Orders in Turkiye

The Nordex Group has secured new orders totalling 389 MW in Turkiye, one of its main markets, the company announced. The contracts, signed in September, cover the supply and installation of 56 wind turbines from the Delta4000 series, along with multi-year service and maintenance agreements for each project.

Each turbine type and configuration was selected to match specific wind conditions, technical requirements, and site characteristics, including energy storage. This tailored approach aims to ensure efficient and reliable energy generation across the different locations. Installation and commissioning are scheduled to begin in 2027 and continue through 2028, in line with project timelines.

Ender Ozatay, Vice President Region Turkiye and Middle East of the Nordex Group, said, “These new orders underline the continued confidence of our customers in Nordex and further strengthen our market leading position in Turkiye, one of our key markets. With turbine configurations tailored to the specific requirements of each site and comprehensive long-term service agreements, we will support our customers in delivering reliable, high-yield wind projects and advancing Turkiye’s renewable energy ambitions.” The names of the customers and projects were not disclosed.

The order intake matters because it reinforces Nordex’s dominant position in Turkiye’s growing wind energy market and signals sustained demand for its onshore turbine technology. Turkiye has been expanding renewable energy capacity to reduce reliance on imported fossil fuels, and wind power is a central component of that strategy. Nordex’s Delta4000 series, designed for markets with limited space and constrained grid capacity, is well-suited to Turkiye’s conditions. The inclusion of energy storage in some configurations also points to a broader industry trend of pairing wind generation with storage to improve grid stability and energy dispatchability.

Globally, Nordex has commissioned more than 64 GW of wind power capacity in over 40 markets since 1985 and generated consolidated sales of around EUR 7.6 billion in 2025. The company employs more than 11,100 people and operates manufacturing facilities in Germany, Spain, Brazil, India, and the USA. Its product portfolio focuses on onshore turbines in the 4 to 7 MW+ classes, and a global service network supports turbine operations. Nordex SE is listed on the MDAX and TecDAX of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (ISIN: DE000A0D6554).

The new orders were first reported via www.newmediawire.com, a distribution service for corporate announcements. The contracts add to Nordex’s order book and underscore the company’s ability to win repeat business in a competitive market. As Turkiye continues to pursue renewable energy targets, Nordex’s expanded footprint could support further job creation and technological transfer in the region. The multi-year service agreements also provide a recurring revenue stream for Nordex, enhancing long-term financial stability.
