In a rapidly evolving real estate market, one Round Rock brokerage is betting that artificial intelligence and a rescue-swimmer mindset will set it apart. Kasey Jorgenson, who leads Jorgenson Real Estate in downtown Round Rock, shares that philosophy on Episode 94 of the Rock Solid: Round Rock Business Leaders Podcast, titled “Kasey Jorgenson: From Rescue Swimmer to Real Estate Leader,” hosted by Bryan Eisenberg. The episode drops October 7, 2026.
Jorgenson draws a direct line from his Navy rescue swimmer training to real estate, where high-stakes transactions and panicked buyers are routine. He survived an 86% attrition pipeline in rescue swimmer school, an experience he says taught him perseverance. “I was terrible at running. And it was perseverance from that, just refusing to quit,” he recalls. That grit now informs how his team handles crises, such as a buyer who texted that there had been a murder in the front yard of a listing. “All right, well, let’s just take a pause. There’s no need to freak out. Let’s do some information gathering, see what we’re actually dealing with,” he told the agent.
After more than 15 years at a major national brokerage, Jorgenson went independent to prioritize systems and mastery over headcount growth. His brokerage, Jorgenson Real Estate, employs roughly 15 agents and is deliberately staying nimble. Three weeks ago, it introduced an in-house AI agent alongside a pro bono program for sellers facing financial hardship.
Jorgenson argues that AI is revolutionizing how buyers connect with agents. He notes that AI models now prioritize spoken-word content and testimonials, which is why his brokerage appears in ChatGPT queries throughout Williamson County. He points to Google’s first major search-interface overhaul in 25 years and Perplexity’s recent IPO filing as signals of broader disruption. Near-term disruptors, he says, include commercial real estate data, MCP connectors, 35-page home reports, and future “Carfax-style” property histories. He predicts dramatic change within one to two years.
On the local market, Jorgenson credits Round Rock’s Dell-era master plan, strong schools, Old Settlers Park, and improvements along I-35 for anchoring demand. However, he flags education funding as the key variable for future home values. The conversation also explores why systems and mastery beat headcount growth, and how Jorgenson’s calm-under-fire ethos translates to self-employment.
Eisenberg, a bestselling author and international keynote speaker, engages Jorgenson on these industry shifts. The episode is part of Rock Solid’s spotlight on the entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and companies powering Round Rock, Texas. Produced by Round Rock Studio, the podcast explores the strategies, stories, and community ties behind the region’s most interesting operators.
