TruGolf Completes Acquisition of Polymath Research, Enters Institutional Asset Tokenization

TruGolf (NASDAQ: TRUG) has completed its acquisition of Polymath Research Inc., a Canadian company specializing in institutional asset tokenization and developer of Polymesh, a Layer-1 blockchain designed for regulated assets, according to an announcement by NEWMEDIAWIRE. The transaction, announced October 9, 2026, combines TruGolf’s established golf simulation and software business with Polymath’s blockchain infrastructure, creating two complementary revenue streams.

As of Dec. 31, 2025, Polymath had issued more than $132 million in tokenized assets for more than 65 active issuers, supported by more than 50 ecosystem partners. This track record provides TruGolf with immediate scale in the regulated digital asset space. The companies also are developing tokenized equipment leasing and fractional franchise ownership programs targeted for the first quarter of 2027, signaling a broader strategy to apply blockchain technology to real-world assets.

Following the acquisition, Polymath will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary while TruGolf continues its golf technology operations, including its simulators and E6 platform. The dual structure allows TruGolf to maintain its core golf business while diversifying into blockchain-based financial infrastructure.

Natalie Hirsch, formerly Polymath’s chief financial officer and interim CEO, has been appointed chief financial officer and chief operating officer of TruGolf, while David Hackett has joined its board of directors. These leadership changes bring blockchain and financial expertise to TruGolf’s executive team and board, which could be critical as the company integrates tokenization capabilities.

In connection with the transaction, TruGolf also received approximately $2.95 million in net proceeds from the exercise of Series B preferred warrants. This additional capital strengthens the company’s balance sheet as it pursues new growth initiatives.

The acquisition matters because it represents a convergence of traditional technology businesses with blockchain infrastructure. By acquiring Polymath, TruGolf gains a regulated asset tokenization platform that has already processed significant asset volume. The move could position TruGolf to capitalize on the growing demand for tokenized real-world assets, a market that is attracting increasing institutional interest. For Polymath, the deal provides a public-company vehicle and access to TruGolf’s operational resources.
