Paper Garden Records recording artists The Storm Windows have released a new live video for the song “All I Want to Do (is Rock).” The performance was captured before an enthusiastic audience at Tank Studio in Burlington, Vermont, on November 1, 2025. The video is the latest offering from the band’s recent live album, The Storm Windows Live, released on the PGRoots label of Paper Garden Records.
The live recording has drawn praise from top reviewer The Musical Road, which reported that the music “captures the raw, immediate energy of a band fully in its element.” The Storm Windows are known for their self-described genre of “Power-Folk,” with live performances described by Spin Magazine as the “Folk Ramones.” The trio performing on the recording consists of Rob Mathews on guitar and vocals, Don Mathews on upright bass and vocals, and Erik Anderson on drums.
The audio for the track was produced and mixed by Ben Collett and Julia Rangel at Tank Recording Studios, while the video was directed by Drew Fahle. As of today, the band has made available links to the new video, the full live album, and the studio version of the single. The release of this live video and the accompanying album marks a significant step for The Storm Windows, as the live album is their first release on the PGRoots label. The band, which takes its name from a John Prine song title, consists of veteran musicians who have weathered a few storms but are still standing and singing about it. Critics have labeled their music “New Americana – a blend of folk, rock and even jazz laced sonics.” The Storm Windows continue to perform both showcases and bar gigs, building on their reputation as purveyors of a unique sound that bridges traditional folk with the energy of rock.
